DECLARATION OF THE CONVENTION FOR THE RESPECT OF HUMAN RIGHTS – CRHD
BENI-CITY Coordination
The Convention for the Respect of Human Rights notes with sadness that the extent of the carnage of civilian populations is increasing in the Territory of Beni despite the presence of joint operations FRDC UPDF, Monusco, PNC and the intelligence service.
Recall that in the space of 3 days, more than 40 people were massacred by the ADF at BEU MANY AMA and at BULONGO Center next to the burned vehicles and houses “the night of May 29 to 30 in BULONGO and on the 28 to May 29, 2022 at BEU MANY AMA”.
THE CRDH Recommends:
- The military command to strengthen the workforce in BEU MANY AMA given that MANY AMA is a crossroads linking the Territory of Beni, MAMBASA and IRUMU;
- To the Military command to take preventive measures to secure the agglomerations located along the RN 44 totally exposed;
- To the military command to relieve all the officers from intermingling outside Zone OPS I, then to
- The Military Prosecutor’s Office to investigate the recent massacres of MANY AMA and BULONGO Center so that everyone’s responsibilities are established so that justice can be done.
