The Congolese Society for the Rule of Law has read with interest the Communiqué of the Communication Unit of the Cabinet of the Presidency of the Republic published on Thursday, September 16, 2022 following the scandalous affair of Councilor MVIDIE TSHIMANGA.
She judges that supporting the fight against corruption is one of the pillars of the action of the President of the Republic and affirming that it constitutes his firm will to fight the scourge is not enough.
This political commitment should translate into action through immediate exemplary sanctions against the person concerned.
Also, she recalls, that the final report of the Estates General on the fight against corruption held almost a year ago, has never been endorsed by the Government of the Republic or brought to the attention of the public.
To tell the truth, the only press release from a Communication Unit of the President does not reassure.
