Concerns: Fight for good governance and against corruption in the Province of Kasai Central.
By correspondence n / ref: 01/14/GP/KC/JKS/143/2022 of June 23, 2022 circulating on social networks, the Congolese Society for the Rule of Law is informed of the invitation issued to the Inspector General of Finance for the purpose of auditing the heritage of the province to know its accuracy, completeness and real value. The SCED considers that this mission is truly beneficial for a province in search of resources. In addition, she would like to know whether the audit of the province’s assets is to be understood solely in the sense of the audit of the province’s accounts or it also includes systematically looted furniture and buildings. The SCED also believes that this audit should allow the assessment of the height of the Province’s public debt. In addition, she allows herself to draw up a list of the emblematic files which must pass under the magnifying glass of the IGF, namely, among others:
- financing the repatriation of refugees from Angola;
- support for the response to Covid – 19;
- the management of the investment budget whose contracts have been awarded to certain persons in a situation of conflict of interest;
- the account of the costs collected for the Covid test;
- extra-budgetary support from the government to provincial deputies;
- the retrocession account due to the Decentralized Territorial Entities. Finally, the SCED makes it its duty to remind the members of the government and the president of the newly elected Provincial Assembly of the republican obligation to declare their family assets.
