Kasaï Central: Stéphane Mbambi Ndingo, New President of the Provincial Assembly

The provincial deputy Stéphane Mbambi Ndingo was proclaimed, this Tuesday, June 28 in Kananga, as president of the Provincial Assembly of Kasaï Central.

Sole candidate for this position after the candidacy of Dieudonné Mimbongolo, elected from the electoral district of Luiza was rejected, the elected representative from the territory of Dimbelenge was proclaimed president of the Provincial Assembly by the Vice-President and interim president of the legislative body Marcel Tshipepele.

The latter has just communicated the decision elevating Stéphane Bambi to the post of President of the Provincial Assembly without going through the vote.

As for the other vacancy of the rapporteur, it went to the deputy Mathieu Ntolo Mutatayi of the electoral district of Dibaya. He won 20 votes against another Dibaya elected official, Joseph Kalamba.

Note that the two new members of the office of the Provincial Assembly replace respectively Jérôme Muntu Woma and Bob Kayombo Nyoka. The first was deposed by petition and the other resigned before the vote on the petition which targeted him.

The deliberative body of Kasaï Central knows by this vote its third president for this legislative. Mbambi Ndingo replaces Patrice-Aimé Sesanga and Jérôme Muntu Woma, all of Luiza and who were ousted by their colleagues.

For his part, the rapporteur Matthieu Ntolo returns to the charge because he was Vice-president of Patrice-Aimé Sesanga. His colleagues renew their confidence in him after dismissing him from the post of vice-president for incompetence and conflicts of interest.

Recall that the vote of the president and the rapporteur of the Provincial Assembly comes a few days before the publication of the government team by Governor John Kabeya Shikayi.
